As far as hot keys go I don't think so but I will double check. If anyone has any ideas I'd be open to try them.I though along similar lines, but I haven't tried downloading the drivers direct from manufacturer rather than Lenovo. I got the task working on a local machine triggered at any user logon, but the group policy doesn't configure scheduled tasks properly in windows 10 (yawn Microsoft.)I'd like to fix the problem permanently rather than users having to change the display settings every so often. Out of interest what Windows 10 are you running, we're on Windows 10 Education 1709.Good spot I'll have a look if this is causing it! I know that our teachers use a different presentation software regularly, but every now and then they go into PowerPoint. I'll report back.I'm so glad it's not just me! I've been going mad over here wondering if it's something we've done. Maybe there's some settings I can adjust to try and trick it to thinking it's still connected. I think your suggestion around the TV not being recognised when it's off would be somewhere to look into. These are all brand new devices/cables and it's happening on multiple devices.

I've tried implementingThe Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\PowerPoint\Options\RestoreTopology (Dword 1) settingFrom microsoft but it still often reverts back to screen only.I am dealing with this problem at the moment and have just had a bit of a revelation, due to an offhand comment by one of my teachers that it keeps disrupting her presentations, I have found that Powerpoint seems to be responsible. I've just added the RestoreTopology registry to our GPOs I will report back on this once I've had chance to test some more.So I'm back with some news, it is still changing the display settings across almost all of our boards and it would appear it triggers when a user opens PowerPoint.
But then if I turn the TV off, and turn the PC monitor back on, it will be in extended mode and I have to turn the TV back on to get it to duplicate again.I had recently purchased a new GPU, so at first I though it was a faulty piece of hardware, so I returned it for tesing. But, If I turn off the PC monitor, the TV will be fine. PC being the main display and the pre-amp/TV is the extended or cloned one.Basically the issue would occur if I have both monitors on, then if I turn off the TV, the PC monitor switches to extended display. Set to Duplicate usually, but sometimes extended. Not always, just for the last months.My PC is connected to a LED PC monitor via HDMI, and then to an pre-amp via DP adapted to HDMI. I have been having the same issue lately.
